The Martínez-Torres Scholarship Fund
About
The Martínez-Torres Scholarship (MTS) Fund is a charity initiative created by siblings Luis, Iris, and Pablo. The Martinez-Torres siblings are a group of committed scholars and professionals who overcame academic and socio-economic hurdles to complete their doctorate degrees in higher educational institutions in Puerto Rico and the United States. The siblings were raised in Puerto Rico, being educated and graduating from the public school system in PR during the 1990s.
Mission
To foster the inclusion of economically disadvantaged students in higher educational institutions in academic areas such as social sciences, natural sciences, and public health.
Vision
To promote and contribute to a more equitable and inclusive higher educational system in which economically disadvantage students can participate and be academically and professionally successful.
